Happy New Year to all our Brown Swiss members, friends, and family from far and near. Here's hoping that 2026 finds you healthy and well as we take another trip around the sun.

 

Congratulations, goes out to all our Juniors on their success in the New England Bell Ringer Contest. Also, a shout out to several exhibitors that had animals nominated in the All-American Contest. Quite an accomplishment! 

 

As a small organization, participation is the key to our success. We are currently in the middle of a fundraiser spearheaded by Christine Belder and her daughter Sarah Cassavant called a "calendar raffle.” Please get your raffle tickets purchased at $10.00/each with the drawings to start in February. This raffle will go towards funding our youth programs and awards for the year. I would like to thank the donors for their generosity; Christine and Sarah need a huge ‘Thank You’ from all of us for taking the time to put this all together. So now get your tickets purchased through them or go on the NEBSA facebook/ or member. Great prizes can be won and it supports the future of the Brown Swiss Breed, “It’s Youth!”

 

It’s hard to believe that in 6 weeks (3/1) entries will be open for the Spring Show in West Springfield, Ma. So be thinking about that special heifer or cow and get her entered. We certainly need to participate and support all of our All-American qualifying shows. Brown Swiss show day is Wednesday, April 22. I hope to see everyone there!

And finally, our New England Brown Swiss Annual Meeting is Sunday, May, 3, 2026 at 
11 A.M. at the ELM Community Center in Winchester, NH. Participation is the key to our success!!
